Join us for the first bird walk of the New Year! Get those Big Year lists started! Rain/shine/sleet/snow: dress for the weather.
Meet/park at 9:00am near the Henry Clay Monument. DO NOT park in the gatehouse spaces.
Limited number of loaner binoculars to lend. Depending on the size of the crowd, we may split into Beginner/Advanced groups.

Target Species: Yellow-bellied Sapsucker, Golden-crowned Kinglet, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, and Dark-eyed Junco.
Terrain: Easy. Mostly level or mildly sloping roadways and grass.
Pace: Slow to moderate.
Distance: About 1.5 miles total.
Restrooms: At Gatehouse.
