Doug Webb is well-known for his sax work with everybody from Quincy Jones to the Tonight Show Band. Chris Colangelo also played bass with the Tonight Show, as well as the Count Basie and Bob Mintzer bands. And Matt Gordy has played drums with Sinatra, Bennett, Joni Mitchell, Mintzer and George Russell.
Lewis Porter, New York-based pianist, educator, author, has performed across the USA and Europe and was nominated for a Grammy in 1995. He appears on 37 other albums with Dave Liebman, Marc Ribot, Gary Bartz, John Patitucci, Terri Lyne Carrington, Tia Fuller and many others. Critics write that his music makes "a beautifully creative whole" and that he is "a first-rate pianist." Holding a Ph.D. in musicology, he is well-known as an educator and author, most notably of a celebrated book on Coltrane.
