An innovative acoustic bluegrass and Americana string band based in Kansas City. Known for their blend of top-notch musicianship and theatrical, comedic stagecraft, the duo was formed in Germany in 2013 by Midwesterners Andrew Morris (guitar/vocals) and Julie Bates (fiddle/vocals) while working as English teachers. Their live performances are as much about comedy and storytelling as they are about the music. They frequently feature witty banter, instrument switching, and a vibrant, self-aware approach to traditional bluegrass.

The Whiskey Killers are an acoustic band based out of Springfield, Illinois. Well-known in the local "217" music scene, they perform a lively mix of country, folk, and rock covers and originals spanning the 1980s to today.
