If so, come and join us at the Level Trust conference where our inspirational and motivational speakers will create a safe space for you to learn, reflect on your day to day practice and to connect with other professionals from a broad range of sectors who all have one thing in common: the desire to improve the lives of the children, young people and families with whom they work.

Ahmed describes himself as a proud British Muslim, a survivor of psychological trauma/torture and is a well- respected mental health campaigner. He's also a doctor working in frontline psychiatry for the NHS. He is passionate about promoting peaceful co-existence and challenging mental health stigma and Islamophobia. During his session he will help delegates to explore how we can harness the power of storytelling to humanise those living with mental health conditions and create a safe space for delegates to reflect on their own mental health and how this impacts on the children and young people with whom they work.

Lemn Sissay OBE is an international prize-winning writer and a celebrated poet, memoirist and broadcaster. He was awarded an MBE for services to literature in 2010. Brought up first in a foster home and then care homes in the north of England, Lemn has overcome significant adversity and is now one of the most celebrated poets of his generation. During this session, Lemn will draw on his lived experience to help delegates to reflect on how they are able to guard against the 'virulent strain of prejudice' that still exists for many growing up within the care system and help professionals to reflect on how their practice can shape the lives of children and young people.
Bryony Gordon - Journalist, Best Selling Author and Mental Health Campaigner @bryonygordon (Instagram)
As one of the country’s most influential celebrities on mental health matters and the highs and lows of being a woman in modern times, Bryony Gordon has it spot on – she’s witty, wise and unflinchingly honest. During this session, she will draw upon a toxic twenty-year relationship with alcohol and drugs and will explain why hitting rock bottom – for her, a traumatic event and the abrupt realisation that she was putting herself in danger, time and again – saved her life. Join us and let Bryony guide you through her insightful, fearless and brilliantly witty reflections on the eternal quest for a ‘happy life.'

Stephanie’s unique experience as a comedian and her expertise in psychology and business makes her a sought-after international consultant with a strong focus on building strong and resilient teams. During this session, Steph will help you to develop a workplace culture that supports people to talk and be open about their mental health and promotes wellbeing. Steph’s sessions are always insightful, thought- provoking but, most of all, a lot of fun. Prepare to laugh a lot!
