Outlier Solutions Group's Level 1 Rescue course is a 1 day intensive designed to provide those critical, lifesaving skills that bridge the gap between the onset of an emergency and accessing professional assistance. When severe illness or injury strikes, we prepare you to take those essential first steps.
We package (4) separate critical skills certifications into one intensive day, and then up your game with wraparound interactive discussions, practical application, and live scenario practice.
This is a fully in-person course that includes the following modules:
1. AHA Heartsaver Total First Aid, CPR/AED (Adult, Child, Infant) - Classroom lecture and discussion with live skills practice, skills testing, and Q&A. Taught using the AHA 2025 Guidelines.
2. ACS Stop the Bleed® Training - In-Person classroom lecture and discussion plus live skills training for "Dry" and "Wet" skill labs. Taught using the 3.0 Course Version, augmented with additional hi-fi skills lab.
3. OSG Community Responder Training - Classroom lecture and discussion with coaching and skills augmentation, as well as post-course support.
Course Module Details
AHA Heartsaver First Aid, CPR and AED Certification (Valid for 2 Years from Date of Course)
The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Topics covered in this course include
First aid basics
Medical emergencies
Injury emergencies
Environmental emergencies
Preventing illness and injury
Adult CPR and AED use
Choking help for an Adult, Child or Infant
Drowning response and prevention
Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
Additional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR
Students will be evaluated on their ability to perform lifesaving and first-aid skills, and must demonstrate successful mastery of required skills in order to receive a course completion card. Once completed, students will be electronically issued a verifiable course completion card to the email address provided with their registration. This card is valid for 2 years and can be renewed by taking the course again. This course provides an OSHA Compliant Completion Card suitable for many workplaces.
ACS Stop the Bleed®
This course teaches techniques to recognize and control life-threatening bleeding through the use of direct pressure, wound packing, and tourniquet application, in accordance with the American College of Surgeons approved curriculum. Students will have the opportunity to practice their skills and demonstrate mastery on simulation manikins with "live" bleeds in order to build their real-world proficiency. Upon successful demonstration of mastery, students will be issued a Course Completion Certificate. This certificate does not expire, but it is recommended that students review and practice the skills learned in this class on a regular basis to maintain proficiency.

The OSG Level I Rescue credential incorporates the sum total of your training, and is valid for 2 years from date of issue.
No preparatory work is required ahead of class - just come prepared for a long but engaging training day!
Students should report to the training location on-time, and be prepared for a combination of lecture, discussion, scenarios, and practical application. Students will be expected to demonstrate mastery of the following skills following instructor led practice sessions and Q&A.
1. CPR and AED Use on an Adult Manikin and CPR on an Infant Manikin
2. Rescue Breaths with a Pocket Mask
3. AED Usage
4. Safely removing gloves without exposure to contamination
5. Finding the Problem in a First Aid Scenario
6. Controlling minor bleeding and bandaging
7. Use of an epinephrine auto-injector
8. Wound packing for life-threatening bleeding
9. Tourniquet application to control life-threatening bleeding
Students should be prepared to move around the training space, kneel, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks of a light to arduous nature during the course. Students should wear clothing that may become soiled or wet.
