ABOUT REIKI
Reiki is an immensely effective, light touch energy healing tool that can be used for yourself, others, animals, and even your plants! Reiki means "universal life force energy" and it can be channeled for healing that works on multiple, holistic levels--physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. It works on the many subtle layers of the energetic field and chakra system to address stress and other root causes of "dis-ease," restoring harmony with life force energy also known as chi or prana. Reiki level 1 is for beginners, anyone who would like more practice as a healing practitioner, or as a refresher with the option to retain on-going support in their reiki development from the teachers.
Beginning a healing path for yourself or others is often a gateway for greater spiritual awareness, intuitive skill, and personal development. With that in mind, this certification class is not condensed, but is in keeping with the Usui traditional reiki system. It will allow you to confidently begin treating yourself and others and you will receive a personalized and framed Level 1 certificate, a 60 page manual, and answers to all of your questions with personalized and small group training in addition to lifetime support from two teachers and a community/class facebook group.
In this class you will learn:
The history and use of Japanese reiki as taught by Mikao Usui
A healing attunement with Angelic energy to prepare you for Level 1 attunement
Level 1 attunement to the energy, symbols, and mantras of reiki
The hand positions and traditional reiki protocols (with room for intuitive variations!)
How to perform self-treatment
Reiki philosophy and principles
Further development of your intuitive and meditative skills (both are relevant to reiki)
How to practice reiki on others
The importance of a heart-based healing practice, with LOTS of emphasis on practice!
Answers to common and not so common reiki questions
How to effectively detect and work with various types of energy you will encounter
Because reiki is a commitment that takes time to develop appropriately, the classes are not offered individually. You must attend all classes to receive certification. No prior experience of any kind is required other than the willingness to learn.
You will receive LIFETIME support from BOTH teachers who have combined experience of over 40 years with reiki. We don't believe in not supporting our students after the class is over, so you will have the opportunity to receive support via a facebook group and direct communication with the teachers. Many people who are already certified in level 1 take the class for this reason.
BIOS OF THE TEACHERS
David Troutman, RMT
Reiki Master David Troutman has been practicing and teaching Reiki for over 30 years, in addition to many other healing modalities such as Chakra Therapy, Cranio Sacral Therapy, Myo-Fascial Release, Meridian Therapy, Energy Light Work, Sound Healing and Chanting, and Emotional Release Therapy. He is a daily transcendental meditator and the owner of the Yellow Lotus Spiritual Center in Herminie, PA. His reiki training was received through the lineage brought to the U.S. by Hawayo Takata.

Victoria Zaitz, MLA, MTP, RMT. Professional Reiki & Shamanic Healer
Victoria always felt the call to serve others. Her first love was poetry and visual art, but her calling led her to the non-profit world. She worked for a labor rights organization, a women’s shelter, a crime victim assistance agency, as a service-learning director, a collegiate assistant for international affairs, and spent two years volunteering for Americorps. She became an activist for LGBTQIA+ and women’s rights at the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a BA in English Writing. She also completed a Master’s in Human Rights/Women’s Studies at Chatham University.
Victoria’s first spiritual experiences as a child include visions of goddesses, spirits and other entities. Her Grandmother shared stories about visitations from passed-on family members, read magazines about astrology, and discussed all things “woo.” Mediumship and psychic ability is in the family.
Victoria felt different from her peers as her interests were unorthodox: out of body experiences, meditation, the purpose of life, art, literature, philosophy, world religions and mythology, mysticism and spirituality, social justice activism, alternative music and subcultures.
Her difficult and traumatic background as a child led to a mental health crisis when she was 18. Her recovery from clinical depression was achieved in large part through the practice of Buddhist meditation. At that point she was heavily invested in exploring different spiritual paths and practiced Buddhism, Wicca, and kundalini yoga.
When she began taking spiritual classes, intuition felt natural. She realized that this ability could be accurate, helpful and healing. After being mentored by the Spiritualist community, in 2007 she became a professional reader.
Through a disciplined practice of yoga and meditation, she had a spiritual and kundalini awakening in 2010 that rooted her connection to the Divine and brought her the realization that we are all one.
Victoria inferred that she needed to understand spirituality and its connection to the psyche to be more helpful to her clients, and that led her to obtain a second Masters in Transpersonal Psychology from Sophia University in California.
Her current interests and training include shamanism, shamanic healing and ceremonies, and the intersection of psychology and spirituality.
She is a full-time spiritual mentor, intuitive counselor, medium, reiki/shamanic healing practitioner, spiritual development coach, writer, and teacher. A large amount of her time is spent working one on one with clients.
Another important component is teaching and mentoring. She has taught hundreds of spiritual and wellness-based classes, locally and in Lily Dale, NY. She is passionate about meditation and has participated in many retreats.
Victoria has particular expertise in soul connection relationships, kundalini/spiritual awakening, paranormal experiences/investigations and house cleansings, mentoring in psychic development, and narcissistic abuse recovery.
Victoria uses trauma-informed therapeutic techniques and also offers guided meditations, past life regression, somatic healing sessions, shamanic ceremonies, and sound healing with crystal bowls.
