Let’s Talk Transition at Our Monthly PARENT POWER HOUR -
Preparing for Life After High School
Join us for impactful lunch-hour sessions of connection, planning, and real-world strategies for families of students with disabilities preparing for adulthood. Meet with other parents, expert guest speakers, and the Parent Mentor to explore the most essential transition topics. The intended audience is caregivers of students in middle and high school who have a disability.
What to Expect:
• Expert speakers on key transition topics
• Practical tips you can use at home and in the community
• Connections with other families
• Personalized action plan guidance

• SSI (Social Security Income)
• Guardianship & Legal Considerations
• NOW/COMP Medicaid Waivers
• Special Needs Trusts & ABLE Accounts
• Assistive Technology for Life & Learning
• Daily Living Skills & Building Routines
• Communication Tips for Functional Independence
• Autism Supports for Success and Independence
• Behavior Strategies for Community & Work Readiness
