About this Event
Join us for this month’s Let’s Talk About It conversation… 💛
This month’s topic: Recognizing Your Own Strengths 🙌🏽
When we think about “strengths,” many of us only think about the things we’re good at professionally or the skills that make us successful at work. But what if our greatest strengths go far beyond resumes, titles, productivity, or performance?
This conversation is about exploring the deeper strengths we carry — the ones rooted in resilience, adaptability, leadership, creativity, communication, community-building, survival, and the ability to keep showing up through life’s challenges.
Together, we’ll discuss:
✨ The difference between being “good at something” and operating in your natural strengths
✨ The strengths we’ve developed through life experiences and survival
✨ Why many people struggle to recognize their own gifts and value
✨ How understanding our strengths can impact our healing, confidence, relationships, and purpose
✨ The importance of awareness, communication, and community connection
Join us for an evening of meaningful dialogue led by our guest speaker:
🎤 Dr. Gary Jones, BS, MBA, DHL
Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Gary Jones began his educational journey majoring in Theater Arts at Shaw University before earning his BS Degree in Business Management from Shaw University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix, and a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Emmanuel University.
Dr. Jones has worked across several educational platforms as an engagement coach and success coordinator for higher collegiate learning. He also has extensive experience within he entertainment industry, working with record labels, radio stations, concert promotions, advertising campaigns, festivals, magazine publications, film acting, and stage plays.
Recognizing the negative effects caused by lack of information, lack of strength awareness, and limited networking and communication, Dr. Gary Jones’ mission is to “Bring Awareness to the Community” with a focus on helping individuals recognize their own strengths.
Guided by our moderator:

Let’s Talk About It is LGSRF's monthly community engagement and social wellness program designed to reduce isolation, strengthen community connection, and promote emotional well-being through guided dialogue and shared experiences. We take national conversations and apply them right here at home to explore how they impact our everyday lives, relationships, and communities. Together, we explore the systems, stories, and solutions that shape both individual and collective well-being.
Come as you are. Leave feeling seen, heard, and supported 💫
This year, Let’s Talk About It is accepting donations to support the ongoing work and impact of our conversational wellness programs. If you’re able to give, thank you — but please don’t let that stop you from coming. Your presence matters.
