This workshop will be centered on the topic of “Letting Go.” It will include a series of 7 restorative poses matched to the 7 main chakras (Energy Centers) of the body connecting to the subtle energetic body. We will focus on the Anahata chakra, the energy point at heart center.

Anahata means, “Un-Stuck.” Through our restorative practice, meditation, and fire ceremony, we will become un-stuck of our fears, restraints, or anchors holding us back in our lives. The fire ceremony is a time to purify and transform towards the true self. Smudging, Sanskrit chanting, Tibetan singing bowls, and chakra balancing will all be intertwined into this workshop. Live from the heart, let go, and become free to release.

What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday evening! Wonderful long restorative poses mixed in with chanting and above all being reminded of letting go - letting go of those things which no longer serve us. Kevin was a great guide throughout class, reminding us why we were there and giving great cues for all of the restorative poses. The fire ceremony was truly cleansing on my path for letting go. Watching the paper where I had written those things to let go, go up in flames was a great way to begin this process to more freedom. A great workshop!
I loved this workshop. It was perfectly timed on a Sunday evening as it was getting dark. The entire class felt very serene and peaceful to me. I have been trying to let go of many things over the last few years and it is a lot of hard work. This time felt sacred and honest. We connected with each chakra, learned the sound, function and energy associated with it while in restorative poses, meditated and finally burned up what we wanted to let go off. I feel good about it and hope to hold onto the new cleansed energy in my body for a while.
