"Letting Go" is my first ever solo exhibition showcasing a decade of artistic exploration. This journey began with a commission from my grandfather to paint on a lumber mill saw blade. This initial piece sparked a creative fire, leading to a series of works that challenged my pursuit of perfection. Each painting in this exhibition represents a step towards embracing imperfection and finding freedom in the creative process. Many of the works were created alongside commissioned pieces, allowing me to experiment and learn to let go of the need for absolute control.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is a large canvas that has been a constant presence under my easel for ten years. This piece serves as a culmination of the journey, incorporating elements from all the other works and symbolizing the letting go of past creations and the embracing of new beginnings.
"Letting Go" is a reflection on the impermanence of life, the beauty of imperfection, and the importance of embracing change. It is a testament to the power of my expression to heal, to grow, and to find meaning in the ebb and flow of life and relationships.
