Letters to Tomorrow: A Reflective Writing Workshop at Stark Brewing Company
About this Event
Letters to Tomorrow: A Reflective Writing and Journaling Workshop
What would you like your future self to remember?
Join Dash of Creativity at Stark Brewing Company in Manchester, New Hampshire, for a thoughtful and welcoming reflective writing workshop. Letters to Tomorrow combines guided journaling, creative writing, and personal reflection in a relaxed group setting.
During this beginner-friendly workshop, you will write a supportive letter to your future self. You might reflect on where you are today, recognize how far you have come, capture a meaningful season of your life, or offer encouragement for whatever comes next.
This is not a traditional writing class. You do not need to be a writer, share your work, or know what you want to say before you arrive. Guided prompts will help you get started and turn your thoughts into a meaningful keepsake.
Choose a Journal to Keep
Each participant will be invited to choose a journal from the available selection. Your journal is included with your ticket and is yours to take home.
Use it during the workshop to respond to reflection prompts, write your letter, record meaningful thoughts, or begin a new personal journaling practice. After the event, you can continue using it for creative writing, gratitude, goal setting, or everyday reflection.
Journal styles and colors will vary. Arrive early for the widest selection.
Write a Letter to Your Future Self
Your main activity will be writing a personal and encouraging letter to the person you are becoming.
Your letter might include:
- Something you are proud of right now
- A lesson you want to remember
- A goal or possibility you are working toward
- Encouragement for an uncertain season
- A reminder of the people, places, or experiences that matter to you
- A description of your life as it feels today
- A hope for the months or years ahead
- Advice you would like to carry into the future
You can decide when you would like to return to your letter. Choose a meaningful date, an upcoming milestone, or simply save it for a day when you need to reconnect with your own words.
Add an “Open When” Message
You will also write a short “open when” message for a specific future moment.
Choose a prompt such as:
- Open when you are beginning something new.
- Open when you have had a difficult week.
- Open when you need encouragement.
- Open when you are questioning yourself.
- Open when you reach an important milestone.
- Open when you need to remember how far you have come.
- Open when something worth celebrating happens.
- Open when you are ready for your next chapter.
Additional ideas will be provided, or you can create one based on a moment that feels meaningful to you.
A Comfortable, Low-Pressure Experience
Letters to Tomorrow is designed to feel personal without requiring anyone to reveal private experiences.
Optional paired reflection activities will be available for participants who would like to connect and discuss ideas. There may also be opportunities to share a sentence, thought, or reflection with the group. Participation is always optional.
You are welcome to write quietly, follow the prompts at your own pace, and keep everything you create completely private.
There is no pressure to write perfectly. Grammar, spelling, handwriting, and formal writing experience do not matter. The purpose is to slow down, reflect, and create something meaningful for yourself.
