Letters Live is set to return for a one-off show in support of RSPCA, celebrating their 200th anniversary.Known for its engaging performances of remarkable letters from around the world and across history, Letters Live will join forces with the RSPCA to create an unforgettable evening of storytelling, showcasing the power of the written word and humanity’s bond with the natural world.
Each Letters Live event is unique, as the entire list of performers is kept secret from the audience until the moment they take to the stage. Previous performers have included Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, Gillian Anderson, Ian McKellen, Mary J. Blige, Olivia Colman, Kylie Minogue and many more.
The RSPCA is the world’s oldest and largest animal protection organisation which exists to inspire everyone to create a better world for every animal. For 200 years, they’ve been changing attitudes, behaviours and laws to revolutionise how society treats animals - because a world that’s better for animals is better for us all.
The letters read at Letters Live are unpredictable, varied and always memorable. Where some express anger or pain, others delight the audience with wisdom and humour. Over the years, letters written by iconic characters from David Bowie and Marge Simpson to Mohandas Gandhi, Elvis Presley, alongside hidden gems from lesser-known figures.
