Spring is here ~ the trees are budding, the birds are singing, the tulips are blooming and the dutch dancers are wearing 5 pair of socks! What?! Yes! All true! Come to one or all of the sketch events we have planned for you!
Monday, May 6, 1 PM - 5 PM Centennial Park - Meet by the statue of Albertus VanRaalte on the east side of the park near 11th and Central. There’s so much to sketch on all 4 sides of the park, historic homes, buildings, people, tulips, and more! Restrooms are located below the gazebo in the park. Bring a folding chair or stool. Throw down will be at the same location at 4:30 PM

Monday, May 6, 5:30 PM - Dinner at Mizu with the group - meet at Mizu 99 East 8th Street, Holland.

Tuesday, May 7, 8:00 AM Breakfast at Bowermans on 8th - we’ll sit outside, weather permitting. Order inside the restaurant and they’ll deliver to the table. Thrown down at 8:50 AM That’ll be a speedy sketch! Order, eat and sketch in 50 minutes. We know you can do it?

Tuesday, May 7, 9:00 - 12 Noon Windmill Island Gardens! We’ll meet inside the park by the little guard house/gate. Admission is $12 Please note: historically the park gets filled up early in the day, this is why we plan to arrive at opening time. Once inside the park you’ll find so many unique, interesting and colorful things to sketch including a huge field of tulips, the historic DeZwaan Windmill, a street organ, a carousel and much more! We’ll do our throw down in front of DeZwaan (east side) at 11:45 AM and then mosey on over to the Food Trucks for a healthy? lunch and more sketching!

Tuesday, May 7, 12 Noon - 2 PM, Sketching and Lunch at the Food Trucks on East 8th Street by the Holland Area Arts Council, 150 East 8th Street, Holland Get your food and grab your chair, we’ll sit across the street in front of Macatawa Bank and sketch what we see? while enjoying a traditional Dutch lunch? Throw down at 1:45 PM in front of Macatawa Bank.
