In anticipation of the upcoming Heritage Festival, we will be sketching the heritage character of Newtown. Historic shopfronts on Riddiford Street or character cottages in the side streets - Green Street hosts some of the oldest houses in Newtown, built from 1875.
Meet on the corner of Riddiford Street and Green Street at 10am, sketch for a couple of hours in this area, then meet at New Day Café in Constable Street at 12.30pm for a coffee/chat and to look at everyone's drawings.
Urban Sketchers Wellington will display a collection of Newtown sketches in the SubCulture window (the former substation near McDonald’s) during the Heritage Festival (18 October – 9 November). If you would like contributing work to this display talk to Dave or Annette.
