If you like to sing and you love Mother Earth, this spirit-lifting afternoon of singing for the planet is for you!
About this Event

Join in as we welcome a new year and lift our spirits in song as we work for a just and sustainable planet.

Cassie Norton and Nigel Bariff will lead us in learning and singing several songs for the Mother Earth.

This event is not your traditional choir practise - this will be an open participation group where anybody who wants to attend an event is welcome to perform as part of the choir. Cassie and Nigel will have you singing like you do in the shower (but better because there will be harmony!).

Bonus: Singers from Whole Village will lead us in a round of Do It Now - a special tribute to Douglas Ford and his Greenbelt plan.

The Sing-A-Long from 1:00pm to - 3:00 p.m. will be followed by a mix and mingle where you can enjoy some light refreshments and enjoy the company of your new musical friends.

This is for all ages and abilities - you DO NOT need to have any previous choir experience. All are welcome.

Tickets are on a pay-what-you-can basis with all proceeds going to Climate Fast to support their work for climate justice and the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga who are donating the use of the beautiful eco-designed Great Hall.

Singer-songwriter | Cassie Norton | Ontario

Cassie Norton is a singer-songwriter, improviser and environmental activist based in Toronto. She uses music as a vehicle both to bring people together in real time and space, and to express, and at times lament some of our deepest problems.
