East Hartford Parks & Recreation and Dilligence Training, LLC are teaming up for a youth fun run series this summer!This event will be open to Town of East Hartford residents, ages 5-14 years old, and will be held at Goodwin Park (1235 Forbes St) on Wednesdays (6/26, 7/3, 7/10 and 7/17).
Registration will take place from 5:00pm-5:30pm. Participants must be registered by their guardian. Runners must wear sneakers to participate and should bring a water bottle.
Dilligence Training, LLC will be there to warm each age group up prior to their races!
Each co-ed heat will be broken up into different age groups to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience:
Heat 1: 7 & 8
Heat 2: 9 & 10
Heat 3: 11 & 12
Heat 4: 13 & 14
*There will be a little kid’s run before Heat 1, on the baseball field. for ages 5 & 6*
Following each heat, the top 3 runners will be provided a ribbon and gain points. At the end of the 4 week running series, trophies will be awarded to the runners who have accumulated the most points in each age group. Runners must have attended all 4 dates for a chance to win a trophy. 🏆
Our Goldstar Pool will be open until 7:00pm: Bring your bathing suit and towel and cool off after the run!
