Let's Read Oak Park Literacy building for children 5-12

Underground Books’ monthly literacy initiative designed to nurture a love of reading within the Oak Park community. Held every second Saturday of the month, this program welcomes children ages 5–12 for an engaging and educational experience that inspires curiosity, creativity, and confidence.

Each session features a lively read-aloud led by our team, followed by a hands-on activity that reinforces the theme of the story and encourages self-expression. At the end of each session, every child receives a free book to take home, supporting continued reading and learning beyond our walls.

Let’s Read Oak Park serves as a joyful space for young readers to build early literacy skills, connect with their community, and discover the magic of books—one story at a time.
