This 32-hour training called “Let’s Play Yoga” will help you learn how to format a children’s yoga class, teach poses that are appropriate for different age groups, learn games that help children focus and concentrate, build mindfulness to reduce stress and help children learn to self regulate behavior in addition to team building activities- skills that you can use with any group of children you work with. In it, we will explore the background behind trauma and educate children about trauma. This course will provide therapeutic options for children in your classes who may have experienced trauma – behaviors to look for, ways to intervene in a safe non-threatening way, and tools to help students begin to heal through movement, meditation, and nervous system regulation.
