Let's Hike!

Join Compass Point home of Dirty Girl Adventures for an evening on the trail! Hiking is a great way to engage with nature and get outside. It's also a great way to connect with others who enjoy getting outside.

Wednesday April 30th, we will hike at Skyline Park. This Topeka Park provides our community with well maintained trails, some intense incline/decline and views of Topeka from the highest point in the county. These trails are natural terrain with rough, uneven surface including rocks and tree roots. We will hike from about 5:45pm until 7:30ish covering about 3 miles depending on the route. Discussion prior to the hike will focus on ways that you can build strength and stability for more hiking.

When: Tuesday April 30th at 5:45pm

Where: Check in at the parking lot at Skyline

Detailed directions will be emailed to participants before the event.

What: Guided group hiking with information about the trails and the local flora and fauna.

Bring/Wear: Watch the weather, dress in layers, trekking poles, shoes with good tread

Regular cost: $25

Club cost: $20

What are you paying for? Dirty Girl Adventures, LLC will organize the event, provide a guide, support on the trail and docent information throughout the event. We will monitor the weather and conditions to ensure that our event and participants are safe. Our knowledgeable and informed guide service includes a leading guide and a sweep guide during the hike. Trail support including: first aid, knowledge of the environment and locale, safety monitoring, pacing, interpretive information on the environment and location.

In case you are wondering about our refund policy – refunds are given up to two weeks before the date of the event when the refund is requested in an email directed to [email protected]. After that, there are no refunds. Dirty Girl Adventures may cancel an event due to weather or conditions. Everyone will receive a refund if that is the reason for the cancellation. We will paddle and hike in cool, rainy or snowy conditions. Cancellation only occurs in severe weather or other dangerous conditions.
