From the sweeping elegance of Johann Strauss’s Blue Danube Waltz to the lively rhythms of American composer Sheridan Seyfried’s American Caprice featuring Furman’s own Professor of Violin Dr. Anastasia Petrunina, this concert celebrates the joy, energy, and beauty of dance in music. You’ll also hear works by Glazunov, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, Chaminade, Dvořák, Khachaturian, and more—showcasing the many ways orchestral music can sweep you off your feet.
