Join the YEEPI Education Foundation of Calgary for a powerful day of dialogue, learning, and action focused on increasing the participation and influence of Indigenous, Black, and diverse racialized communities in policy and decision-making spaces.
Through keynote presentations, panel discussions, interactive breakouts, and collaborative action planning, participants will explore practical pathways to civic engagement, leadership, and representation at municipal, provincial, and institutional decision-making tables.
Together, we will:
- Learn where and how policy decisions are made.
- Explore strategies for meaningful participation and shared decision-making.
- Identify barriers such as gatekeeping and tokenism.
- Develop practical tools for accountability and community engagement.
- Create an action roadmap with concrete next steps and community ownership.
