Let's Beat the Balsam

The task is straightforward and therapeutic, involving the pulling up and snapping the shallow rooted plants. We encourage anyone to come along and join for as long or as little time as you like. No prior experience required! The race is on to beat the seeds.

Please wear long sleeves to protect yourself from any brambles or nettles, bring appropriate footwear, and something to eat and drink. It's great if you have your own gardening gloves too, but we can provide some if not.

There is car parking and toilets in the Hetton Centre. This is a joint event with the Wear Rivers Trust as part of Links with Nature.
