LETRA: A Night of Queer Poetry and Flamenco

Come share in an evening of queer poetry, flowing with the rhythms of flamenco, at Hive Mind Books in Bushwick. The night will feature performances by flamenco dancers as well as pieces from poet–dancer pairings.

The first set will be a flamenco performance, with a a second set of the evening featuring newly formed poet–dancer pairings, each creating a 7–9 minute structured improvisation performed live. The work will unfold in real time, with an improvised soundscape created by guitar + MIDI, responding to what’s happening in the room moment by moment.
