Letní kino na Pragovce–Das Sommerkino / DRAHÝ THOMASI

Servírujeme vám již devátý ročník letního kina na Pragovce, tentokrát se zastřešujícím tématem Vzájemné výhody. Letos budeme promítat v hale MaxSpace za Permanent Beer Fest každé úterý po setmění. Vstupné zdarma (je možné věnovat dobrovolný příspěvek). Až do začátku projekce můžete navštívit Pragovka Gallery v prodloužené otevírací době. O občerstvení se postará Permanent Beer Fest.

NDR je ještě mladá, ale Thomas Brasch už nezapadá. Zatímco jeho otec chce pomáhat budovat nový německý stát, syn by byl radši spisovatelem. Jenže jeho úplně první hra je zakázána a brzy je i on vyloučen z filmové školy. Vlastní otec ho zradí a Thomas jde do vězení. Když pracuje v továrně, píše o lásce, vzpouře a smrti. V NDR být nemůže, odchází na západ, kde být nechce. Radikálnímu nonkonformistovi nakonec nezbude než balancovat mezi realitou a snem. (zdroj Goethe-Institut)

We’re serving up the ninth edition of the Summer Cinema at Pragovka - this time under the overarching theme of Mutual Benefits. This year, screenings will take place every Tuesday after dark in MaxSpace Hall, located behind the Permanent Beer Fest. Admission is free (voluntary contributions are welcome). Until the screening begins, you are welcome to visit Pragovka Gallery during its extended opening hours. Refreshments will be available from Permanent Beer Fest.
On 18 August, we will screen Dear Thomas (150 min).
The film will be shown in its original language with Czech subtitles.

The GDR is still young, but Thomas Brasch no longer fits in. While his father wants to help build the new German state, the son would rather be a writer. However, his very first play is banned, and he is soon expelled from film school. Even his own father betrays him, and Thomas ends up in prison. While working in a factory, he writes about love, rebellion, and death. He cannot stay in the GDR, so he leaves for the West—where he does not want to be either. In the end, the radical nonconformist is left with no choice but to balance between reality and dream. (Source: Goethe-Institut)
