What we’re about:

? We are a community of “normal gays” and ‘straight allies’ (including parents of gay and/or trans-identifying children). Our focuses are on spreading awareness of ‘gay psychology’ (the gay experience), having open and uncensored discussions, engaging in gay rights activism, and promoting acceptance of biological homosexuality/gayness. This is a group where free speech and free thought are celebrated so bring all your opinions from the popular to the less so. Join us to help gay people be gay people! ?️‍?

Are you lost in the confusing "LGBT" spectrum? We offer an open and uncensored discussion which is an alternative to the groups at 'The San Diego LGBT Community Center.' Come share your struggles with being gay in a friendly and accepting environment. Closeted individuals are welcome. We encourage parents of gay and/or trans-identifying children to join our conversation. All ages are welcome.

Meeting Location:

We will first meet at 2 PM sharp in front of the entrance to the 'Balboa Park Visitors Center'. 1549 El Prado, San Diego, CA 92101. The entrance to the Visitors Center is in the hallway next to the El Prado walkway. We will then walk to our meeting spot which will be on the grassy area next to the El Prado walkway. We will wait 10 minutes for late arrivals and the meeting will then start at 2:10 PM sharp. If you cannot find the Visitors Center, private message one of the hosts.

Please dress warm. A sun hat or sun umbrella and sunscreen are recommended. A beach towel is also recommended since we will sit in a grassy area at Balboa Park.

Our activist table has a traditional rainbow attached to it but we will not be sitting next to the table to respect those that are not yet openly gay. The meeting will end by 3:40 PM. Anyone is welcome to stop by our table to chat and ask questions from 3:40 - 4:10 PM.

RSVP:

Please un-RSVP if you cannot make it so we can have an idea of how many people will attend. Once you RSVP, one of the hosts will private message you to confirm your attendance. If you do not reply to the private message, we will assume you will not be showing up.

Parking:

There is plenty of free, no-limit parking in the Balboa Park parking lot east of the intersection at Presidents Way and Park Boulevard. Balboa Park is very busy on Saturdays. Do not drive through the center of Balboa Park due to the heavy traffic on Saturdays. There is a free tram at the parking lot that can then take you to the center of Balboa Park. It can take up to 15 minute for the tram to arrive so park early.
