**Cet atelier en français uniquement est conçu pour des duos formés d’une ou d’un adolescent (âgés de 12 à 17 ans) et de l’adulte qui l’accompagne**

Tous les participants doivent être inscrits.

Dans cet atelier interactif destiné aux ados (âgés de 12 à 17 ans) et à leurs parents ou tuteurs, la cheffe Marysol Foucault mettra à l’honneur un sens souvent négligé en cuisine : l’ouïe!

Du crépitement des amandes grillées aux bulles d’un beurre noisette qui ralentissent leur cadence lorsqu’il est prêt, cet atelier de démonstration portera sur la confection d’une barre aux amandes et au beurre noisette et sur l’utilisation des liquides chauds et froids. Aussi au menu : dégustation de sucre à la crème!

Un document d’information sera remis aux personnes participantes.

À propos de Marysol Foucault. Marysol Foucault a fait ses débuts dans la restauration à l’adolescence. Ce qui n’était au départ qu’un emploi après l’école et la fin de semaine s’est transformé en une véritable passion qui l’a menée à ouvrir son propre restaurant de renom, Edgar. Son parcours remarquable dans le monde culinaire lui a valu de paraître sur la chaîne Food Network, d’être porte-parole des Producteurs d’œufs du Canada et de Repaires jeunesse du Canada, de collaborer à des campagnes nationales pour de grandes marques alimentaires et d’avoir sa propre émission de télévision.

Cet atelier se donnera dans la cuisine du Taggart Parkes Family Clubhouse (1770, rue Heatherington) et s'inscrit dans le cadre de la série « Les expériences culinaires » organisée par la Bibliothèque publique d'Ottawa.

**This French demonstration workshop is specifically designed for a teen (ages 12-17) and their parent or guardian to attend the workshop together**

In this interactive duo workshop for teens (ages 12-17) and their parents or guardians, Chef Marysol Foucault will explore a sense that is often overlooked in the kitchen – Sound!

From the crackling sound of roasted almonds to a beurre noisette being done when the bubbles slow their rhythm, this demonstration workshop will include the creation of an almond and beurre noisette bar, the use of hot and cold liquids, and the sampling of sucre à la crème.

A handout will be provided. All participants must be registered.

About Marysol Foucault: Marysol began her career in the food industry as a teenager. What started as an after-school and weekend job evolved into a lifelong passion, eventually leading her to open her own acclaimed restaurant, Edgar. Her success in the culinary world has earned her appearances on Food Network, roles as a spokesperson for Egg Farmers of Canada and Boys & Girls Club of Canada, partnerships on national campaigns for major food brands, and even her own television series.

This workshop will be held in the Kitchen at the Taggart Parkes Family Clubhouse (1770 Heatherington Road) and is part of Ottawa Public Library’s Kitchen Experiences series.
