The Les Elgart Orchestra is one of the few remaining famous big bands from the 1950s and 1960s that is still in demand! Their popularity gained them their tagline “The Band with THAT Sound!”
From the Hollywood Palladium and London's Savoy Hotel to New York's Rainbow Room, the Les Elgart Orchestra has entertained audiences around the world, performed for Presidents and Governors, recorded more than fifty albums for Columbia Records, and appeared on television with Johnny Carson, Jackie Gleason, Merv Griffin, Peter Marshall and more. Les Elgart wrote & recorded “Bandstand Boogie” which went on to become Dick Clark’s “American Bandstand” theme song. The band was also featured in the popular 1958 Hollywood movie “Senior Prom.”
Tatum Langley, highly acclaimed for her recordings and tours with Postmodern Jukebox, will be returning as Les Elgart Orchestra’s girl singer.
