Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo: On Pointe and Off the Record

Explore the Trockadero archives with rare footage, stories, and a live solo performance from the legendary comic ballet company.
About this Event

Join us for a peek into the archives of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo — including a live solo performance by a company member — as the world's foremost gender-skewering comic ballet company prepares for their biennial NY season at the Joyce Theater in December!

Over its 52-year (and counting) journey, the company has grown from its roots in late-late shows in off-off Broadway lofts into a crowd-pleasing, globe-spanning phenomenon, performing its polished parodies of classical ballet from Tokyo to Texarkana, and everywhere in between.

In this program, members of the Trockadero artistic leadership will share video footage from the past five decades and tidbits from the archives, plus the live performance!
