Established in 1986, Northdale Academy was created to provide students with an alternative pathway to educational success. Under the visionary leadership of founding principal Leroy Helire, Jr., the school developed a strong foundation centered on structure, encouragement, personal growth, and achievement.

Today, the school is known as Northdale Superintendent’s Academy and continues serving students in grades 6–12. This dedication will celebrate Mr. Helire’s pioneering leadership and the lasting impact he made on generations of students, educators, families, and the greater Baton Rouge community.

Please join us for this historic occasion as we officially dedicate the gymnasium in his honor.
