Tickets for this event are £20, please email [email protected] to reserve yours. Doors will open at 7pm with music from around 8pm. Please bring your own refreshments, food, nibbles etc. as there is no bar (and some change for the charity bucket). There will be a limited number of tickets available so don’t leave it too long.
Leonie Gale is the voice of multi-million streaming act 'Blame Jones' and is also, as a 'voice for hire', who has received a gold record for her work on Eva Cassidy's (family approved) posthumous album. She has been the accompanist of choice for TV appearances and touring for the likes of Boy George and superstar sideman Mo Pleasure (Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, EW&F, Chaka, Roberta Flack etc etc), who should know a good singer when he hears one. After a decade or so working as a 'singers’ singer', accompanying others, Leonie has now stepped out of the shadows as an artist in her own right, encouraged by the likes of UK vocal royalty Jo Harman, and is currently working on her first EP with Average White Band saxophonist, Freddy V. Some of you will recall that she actually played her debut as an artist in her own name at Coolham this time last year when she was extremely well received by a sell out audience who recognised what a top class vocalist Leonie is and what an engaging and amusing personality she is both on and off stage.
Accompanying Leonie on this show is a top class band with Emily Francis on keyboards (Robert Fripp, Toyah Wilcox, Rumer etc), guitarist Nat Martin, , Bassist Jason Gale and drummer, Karl Penney . We are delighted to welcome her and this talented band back to the Club to perform a soulful set of both originals and noted covers which have been instrumental in Leonie's varied musical career to date.
