Throughout history, artists embraced new technologies of all kinds to help achieve their vision. With generative artificial intelligence pushing the boundaries of what it means to create, what benefits are there for artists? And what guardrails might we need to put in place?
Join us as we explore the evolution of art and technology from the Renaissance to today. This event includes a panel discussion and a special sneak preview of the upcoming PBS documentary "Leonardo da Vinci," directed by Ken Burns, Sarah Burns and David McMahon.

Come early to experience an Art & Technology Exhibition run by Metropolitan Community College STEM between 12:30 to 2:30pm in the Fountain Court, featuring hands-on activities that explore the intersection of digital art, artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR).
Or explore The Joslyn’s galleries, including paintings and sculptures from the Italian Renaissance, and a tactile display of Leonardo’s Mona Lisa to experience through touch and sound. Admission to The Joslyn is always free.
ASL interpretation will be available for the presentation, and all videos will be shown with open captions.
