Did you know that April is National Poetry Month? To celebrate, Lemon Pepper Poetry Slam is kicking off its first poetry open mic. Just show up, sign up, and share. Not a poet? That's perfectly fine--artists of any disciple are welcome to share. Feel free to sing your favorite song or do your dance or share some jokes or riddles.As an added bonus, this show will be hosted by Aunt Gene, one of the city's most prolific spoken word artist. Combining humor and wordplay with pinpoint delivery and masterful skill, Aunt Gene raises the bar for any poet locked in competition with her. She'll be offering a feature set as well, showing off her multifaceted talent.
