Lemon Pepper Poetry Slam presents the Choose Your Own Poetry Slam

IT'S NATIONAL POETRY MONTH! To celebrate, Lemon Pepper Poetry Slam invites you--the audience--to help our poets make the best poems ever!

Throughout the year, Lemon Pepper Poetry Slam offers an interactive experience where poets from across the state (and sometimes, throughout the country) use their writing and performance skills to compete for CASH! Every show promises a new lineup of poets, a new challenge to navigate, and a new and exciting way to enjoy spoken word.

For the Choose Your Own Poetry Slam, here's how it works:

1. Comment on our designated social media posts with an idea for a poem. Don't have social media--email us at [email protected] and we'll post it for you (just remember to include your name).
   
2. Poets can pick from any of the submitted ideas for inspiration: these poems will appear in the First round.
   
3. Poets may perform any of their original works for the Second Round.
   
4. As always, judges will score each poem and pick the winner.
   
5. If a poet wins using your poem idea, you win a prize, too!

It's the perfect collab between poet and artist, plus games, food, drinks, prizes, and more! Doors open at 7 PM at Station 801. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 the day of the show. See you there!
