About this Event

The route will take us from Ferrytoll park and ride in Inverkeithing along the cycle route, over the Forth Suspension Bridge to South Queensferry and along the coast to Blackness Castle and back. The route will be on a mix of off-road paths and some on-road sections. You will be guided by our trained cycle ride leaders throughout the ride. The ride will be at a leisurely pace.

We will have a stop off for refreshments at either South Queensferry or Blackness where there are also toilets available. Blackness Castle is closed on a Saturday but we will have a great view of it as we come into Blackness village.

We will meet at Ferrytoll Park and Ride, beside the bus waiting room at at 10:15am for leaving at 10:30am and will be back at Ferrytoll Park and Ride by around 1:30pm. Toilets are available at Ferrytoll Park and Ride.

Inverkeithing is well served by ScotRail trains and it is now much easier to travel with your bike on one of the trains. Follow this guide for help with getting your bike on the train, and then Ferrytoll is just a short ride from the station.
