A Leica Connect evening of photography with Mark Mann and the new Leica SL3-P. Experience the Leica SL3-P. Space is Limited.
About this Event

Join Camera West SoHo for a Leica Connect SL Experience celebrating the new Leica SL3-P, with internationally known and celebrated photographer Mark Mann.

Mark's body of work was photographed during the pandemic and featured dancers, a departure from the portraiture he is best known for. He brings that same outlook to this SL Experience, showcasing the speed, the state of the art autofocus and the overall ease the SL3-P offers in the field.

Participants will meet at Camera West SoHo, 460 W Broadway, at 4:00pm on Saturday, August 8th. From there, the Camera West team will lead a walk to a picturesque location where we'll meet Mark and a dancer for an evening of photography, both along the way and on location, with the SL3-P in full display.

Every participant will receive a complimentary loaner Leica SL3-P kit to use for the evening. Because of that, space is limited to the number of cameras we have on hand. Please reserve your spot, and if your plans change we ask that you cancel your ticket so another photographer can take your place. We want to offer this experience to as many people as possible.

Space is limited due to the amount of loaner cameras availabe - RSVP is Required.

Please arrive at 4 p.m. or soon after to get acquainted with your Leica SL3-P loaner kit before heading out. We plan to leave the store promptly at 5 p.m.

About Mark Mann
Mark Mann's artistic journey began at the photographic program at Manchester Polytechnic. After graduating, he honed his craft under pioneering fashion photographers Nick Knight and Miles Aldridge, building a formidable portfolio while developing his own distinctive aesthetic.

He later struck out on his own and relocated to New York City. His editorial work has appeared in Esquire, Men's Health, Vibe, Spin, Fortune, Billboard, Parade and Complex, among others. His subjects include Robert Redford, Michael Douglas, Iggy Pop, Jack Black, the Black Eyed Peas, Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, Rihanna, Queen Latifah, Simon Baker, Stevie Wonder, Bradley Cooper, Willie Nelson, Sean Connery, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Hudson.

His commercial work is equally wide ranging, with clients including Reebok, Adidas, Hennessy, Bombay Sapphire, Pepsi, Gillette, Vitamin Water, the NHL, Zumba, Ford, Chrysler and Svedka.

One of Mark's most celebrated projects was a year long assignment for Esquire titled "The Life of Man," an exploration of American masculinity spanning eight decades and eighty subjects, from infancy to old age. The project culminated in a White House portrait of the sitting president, along with former President Clinton and numerous other notable figures.
Most recently Mark dipped his somewhat arthritic foot into dance photography with "Movement at the Still Point," published by Rizzoli. The book has been widely acclaimed and reached Amazon bestseller status.
