Lei making class with Taylor Yasui

Join us for an interactive and informative lei making class led by Bagel Joint's dear friend, Taylor! This is a perfect opportunity to learn the art of creating beautiful leis and celebrate one of Hawaii's rich cultural traditions.

The admission fee includes a lei making kit and Hawiian inspired light food by Bagel Joint. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to Aina Momona, a Native-Hawaiian-led nonprofit "dedicated to achieving environmental health and sustainability through restoring social justice and Hawaiian sovereignty

About Taylor:

Taylor Kainoa Yasui is a dynamic entrepreneur whose heritage—Japanese, Native Hawaiian, Okinawan, and Norwegian—inspires a multifaceted career in real estate, property management, and music, all rooted in the vibrant energy of New York City.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i, Taylor is a proud graduate of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama, a private institution founded by Princess Bernice Pauahi Bishop to educate Native Hawaiian youth. His upbringing, instilled with Hawaiian values, influences his grounded approach to life and business. Taylor was introduced to the art of lei making at Kamehameha, learning how to make different styles of lei and with different materials such as flowers, feathers, and other plant parts.

Now a trusted figure in New York real estate, Taylor empowers his clients with sharp market insight and strategic guidance—whether navigating a purchase, sale, investment, or lease. He’s a core member of the Alliance Team at Compass and a co-owner of Strata Property Management LLC.

Taylor had the privilege of meeting Will and Lanty as they're all graduates of NYU's Music Business Master's Program.

Taylor lives in Hell’s Kitchen with his husband and finds joy in cooking for loved ones, working out, traveling from Brooklyn to Bangkok, and giving back—to Native Hawaiian and LGBTQIA+ organizations.
