About this Event
A showcase built on the concept of step by step, brick by brick ,artist helping each
other through DIY teamwork. We are the LEGGO BRICKS, the artist, the community and
when LEGGOS click, we can build anything we imagine.
Beaugé returns to his birthplace Ottawa with some friends from his adopted home with assistance from an upcoming Ottawa artist. The idea behind this platform is simply to help each other grow, and connect to new pockets of regional communities by introducing one another to our respective tribes.
This conceptual framework sets the stage for performances by our featured artist
Beaugé, Roshin, Jarell The Young and Teigwan The Trip; live in Happy Goat Café.
Merch and vinyl will be available for attendees looking to support the artist’s music. The event will be curated by Ottawa cornerstones Cranium Arts and Omic; bringing together all elements of culture full circle by providing a strong foundation.
Host & DJ: Tremayne
Featured Artist:
Teigwan The Trip:
Young English from Vieux Hull describes Teigwan to the core. An artist who embraces the tapestry of the Outaouais cultural crossroads. An artist that brings a raw and honest style that matches the upfront energy our french speaking denizens embody. Teigwan brings passion and tenacity to the stage in a manner that is felt by the audience and shared by the time he leaves the stage. Ottawa - Hulls own is truly a Trip.
Jarrel The Young:
Jarrel the Young (JTY) is a Grammy nominated writer, multi-platinum and Billboard #1 producer and with his new Virtue project releasing, a solo artist from Toronto. His work with Fall Out Boy, Drake, David Guetta, Neyo, Jessie Reyez, Tory Lanez and others has defined eras. Virtue is his first series of projects as a solo artist, where he writes, performs and produces each song.
Roshin:
Roshin is a versatile creative born and bred in Toronto. Already a staple in Toronto’s hip hop scene within his group BBRC, Rosh has been showing off his creativity and diversity more recently, jumping between hits "Tarantino (feat. Roshin)" with WILL K and “Don't Tell the Bank” with Shaun Frank. ‘If I can still Stand,' 'At my Parents Again’ and others have marked Roshin’s first foray into solo music, which led the path to his 2020 debut “Unrequited.”
Now back in the role he started with: emcee, his song “Same Damn ‘Lo Sweater” feat. Sean Price (RIP) is 10 years in the making, with all proceeds going to Price’s family.
2022 saw Roshin collaborating with hip hop icons on “Pick & Roll” with Fresh Kils & Fashawn and “Naturally Conspiring” with Badge Époque Ensemble, Lammping & Boldy James . 2023 saw the release of his album Essex Boys, with the single “Yellow Diamonds” feat. Shad.
Roshin’s latest project “Underthinking” is available now on streaming and for purchase in vinyl format.
Beaugé:
Born in the nation’s capital, Haitian Canadian artist Beaugé is one half of acclaimed duo Beaugé Soleil. An eclectic artist who would cringe at being described as such due to the obvious connotations; nonetheless his creative musings fit the bill.
Beaugé experienced the loss, incarceration, and fast living many artists glamourize today. This background informs the creative choices found in his music; it's why you won’t find him “flipping the coke” every other bar. The son of respected Poet/Novelist and Haitian political exilé Jacqueline Beaugé Rosier; Dojo Bonski aka Beaugé has quietly built relationships while honing his sound with his team (Ethics Gallardo, Just Unlimited, Dwayne Graham). Beaugé’s continued ties to the Canadian indie scene have grown his network considerably..
Beaugé Soleil were recently featured on the Ontario Place Summer Series Labour Day 2023 finale with The Academy Presents. A busy performance calendar also included a run of Sofar Sound appearances in Toronto and Ottawa Beaugé and Soleil teamed up again in September 2024 for a performance on Day 2 of The Cranium Festival in Ottawa at Saw Gallery.
Fresh off the release of Beaugé Soleil’s The Watchtower, ep; Beaugé is ready to share more of his journey. As always with music made with care and guided by lessons of love
