From sole proprietor to LLC or corporation—discover what’s best for your freelance business.
About this Event

As a freelancer, you’re not only a worker but also a business owner. But how do you decide whether to stay a sole proprietor, form an LLC, or even incorporate? The right legal structure can help you protect your personal assets, save on taxes, and set the stage for growth.

Join us for this free workshop where legal experts from the Legal Aid Society will break down the basics of business structures for freelancers.

Whether you’re just starting out or looking to take your freelance career to the next level, this session will give you the tools to make confident decisions about your business future.

Key learning outcomes:

  • The pros and cons of operating as a sole proprietor, LLC, or corporation
  • How liability protection and taxes work for each structure
  • When it makes sense to make the switch and when it doesn’t
