ELeNA:
David Saenz aka ELeNA was born in L.A California, raised by Ecuadorian parents, moved to Ecuador and started playing drums and guitar at an early age. In his teenage years started his music adventures in the Ecuadorian skate punk rock scene and formed a punk band called K.O. influenced by 80’s punk bands. At the age of 18 moved to San Francisco, California pursuing a career in the music business as a singer songwriter, producer and audio engineer.
In 2009 formed a punk rock band called Alcoholics for which he played guitar and sang lead vocals. After the Alcoholics band was over, In 2014 heformed part of a ska punk band called Sick Pigeon for which he was the lead singer. At the same time on his way to fulfill his dreams as a musician, he was also training professionally to achieve what is also his passion as a sound engineer and producer, starting from the bottom he got the opportunity to start working at the legendary Hyde Street Studios where he currently works as a audio engineer and Producer.
In January 2020, David started his new project ELeNA. Lyrically ELeNA discusses the worlds’ social political and ecological problems, issues with interpersonal relationships, and love. ELeNA performs primarily reggae music, however experiments and fusions with genres, such as punk, Ska, cumbia, latin jazz and hip hop.
Viaje Nahual:
Viaje Nahual is a Las Vegas based Latin-psychedelia band, formed during the pandemic in 2020, members set out on a sonic journey to look inward and connect to their roots, combining sounds from all their influences a charge of electric and tropical sound is created, ranging from latin to rock and psychedelia the band is sure to make you move and bend your mind! Named after movement and the mysterious pre-hispanic shamans from Mexico, Viaje Nahual’s goal is to keep connecting with their listeners through their music, sending out a message of love, strength and action!
Effort Because:
Effort Because is the creative endeavor of Taylor Carl Martinez, a left-handed, right-minded California native. He has been singing and performing onstage since his early teenage years and has led several bands, but this most recent iteration is his crowning achievement. It is exactly as described: Effort Because - the intentional focus of an inexplicable compulsion.
The sound spans a multitude of genres ranging from heavy vintage prog rock vibes to sultry neosoul, with an equally diverse spectrum of vocals. As a classically trained opera singer Martinez can pierce through with a laser beam, but can also lull you into a romantic sleep by way of a smokey jazz lounge.
Effort Because is truely an indescribable sonic experience organized through time, and must be felt to be believed.
