Legendinio, apdovanojimus pelniusio, smooth jazz ir RnB/Soul atlikėjo ir dainų autoriaus Lee Mays (JAV) vienintelis koncertas su kvartetu Vilniuje.

Lee Mays, dar žinomas kaip Percy Mays, yra tarptautiniu mastu žinomas ir kritikų pripažintas, legendinis dainininkas, dainų autorius ir prodiuseris. 1976 m. p. Mays įrašė savo, šiuo metu gerai žinomą, vinilo albumą „Shine Your Love“. 1977 m. pagrindinę dainą „Shine Your Love“ kaip singlą išleido „The Cruse Family“ „Word Records“. Ši daina prisidėjo prie to, kad 1978 m. Cruse Family laimėjo Dove apdovanojimą kaip „Geriausias metų albumas“. Didžiulis Lee dainų populiarumas prasidėjo praėjusio amžiaus dešimtajame dešimtmetyje atsiradus internetui. Iki 2021 m. pabaigos viso albumo vaizdo įrašai „YouTube“ buvo peržiūrimi daugiau nei 13 mln. kartų. Bėgant metams Lee albumas „Shine Your Love“ tapo labai geidžiamu vinilo entuziastų įrašų knygynuose, įrašų parduotuvėse ir interneto aukcionų svetainėse. 2014 m. gruodį p. Mays išleido kompaktinę plokštelę „Real Love“. 13 dainų kompaktiniame diske „Real Love“ yra smooth ir romantic džiazo derinys su R&B/Soul atspalviais. 2014 m. singlas „Give Me Another Chance“ su Fulton Turnage pateko tarp 30 geriausių metų dainų JK „Global Soul Radio Station“.
2015–2022 metais Lee sulaukė didžiulės sėkmės prestižiškiausių Europos ir JAV džiazo klubų scenose. 2022 ir 2023 metais Lee laimėjo apdovanojimą už geriausią originalų kūrinį keturiuose atskiruose kino festivaliuose, įskaitant Amsterdamą, Kalkutą ir Dubajų. Apdovanojimai buvo skirti už kompozicijas italų filme „La Carrozza dei Sogni“, kurį režisavo Frances Sapphire.

The only concert in Vilnius with a quartet by the legendary, award-winning, smooth jazz and RnB/Soul singer and songwriter Lee Mays (USA).
Lee Mays, aka Percy Mays, is a legendary singer, songwriter, and producer who is internationally known and critically acclaimed. In 1976, Mr. Mays recorded his now famous self-released vinyl album, “Shine Your Love.“ In 1977, the title song, “Shine Your Love“, was released as a single on Word Records by The Cruse Family. That song contributed to the Cruse Family winning the Dove Award for "Best Album of the Year" in 1978. The enormous popularity of Lee’s songs began with the arrival of the Internet in the 1990s. By the end of 2021, the videos of the full album had over 13 million views on YouTube. Over the years, Lee’s “Shine Your Love“ album has become a highly sought-after record for vinyl enthusiasts in book stores, record shops, and on Internet auction websites. In December 2014, Mr. Mays released the “Real Love“ compact disc. The 13 songs on the “Real Love“ CD contain a blend of smooth and romantic jazz sounds with a RnB/Soul flare. In 2014, the single “Give Me Another Chance“ featuring Fulton Turnage, was among the top 30 songs of the year in the UK at Global Soul Radio Station. From 2015 to 2022, Lee enjoyed tremendous success on the stages of the most prestigious European and US jazz clubs.
In 2022 and 2023, Lee won the award for Best Original Score at four separate film festivals including in Amsterdam, Calcutta, and Dubai. The awards were for his compositions in the Italian film, La Carrozza dei Sogni (The Carriage of Dreams), directed by Frances Sapphire.
