Led Bike Ride: Marathon (42 km)

Join us for an early-morning, community-led intuitive half-marathon distance ride starting and finishing at Edgbaston Reservoir. We’ll keep a steady, conversational pace along mostly flat paths and canals—perfect for building fitness, clearing the mind, and starting the weekend strong.

Exact meeting point will be shared once you have booked

• Distance: ~42 km (26.2 miles)
• (We ride as one group)
• Surface: Mixed—reservoir paths & canal towpath (mostly flat). Hybrids, MTBs, gravel and confident road bikes all fine.
• Start/End: Edgbaston Reservoir, Main Car Park (Icknield Port Rd entrance), Birmingham B16
• Route: Reservoir → canal path out-and-back → Reservoir (~42 km / ~26.2 miles)

• Intermediate riders comfortable cycling ~3 hours steady pace
• Anyone seeking a supportive group vibe, nervous-rider friendly
• Ages 18+

• Roadworthy bike (tyres pumped, brakes working)
• Helmet
• Water
• Weather-appropriate layers (light rain jacket recommended)
• Spare tube / puncture kit (if you have one)

• 06:15 – Meet, bike checks + briefing
• 06:30 – Roll out
• 09:00–09:30 – Return to start, cool-down & stretch

By joining, you confirm you’re fit to ride, your bike is roadworthy. You participate at your own risk. Be courteous to other path users and give way on narrow sections.
