🧠 Lecture: "The True Life of a CSI: Fact vs. Fiction"

🎙 Speaker: Jessica Liang

Everyone loves a good true crime story—but how much of what you see on TV or hear in podcasts is actually real? CSI popularized the world of crime scene investigation, but the real work happens far from the camera. In this candid presentation, forensic expert and educator Jessica Liang pulls back the curtain on life under the crime scene tape. No fancy edits, no dramatic music—just the unfiltered truth of making sense of chaos.

Jessica is the owner and lead instructor of Finer Points Forensics and an IAI-certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst. Since starting her career in 2011 with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, she has worked as a 9-1-1 dispatcher, forensic specialist, and crime scene investigator, conducting more than 1,000 investigations ranging from burglaries to homicides and officer-involved shootings.

Join us to learn what’s fact, what’s fiction, and what it really takes to work the scenes you only think you know. Get a drink, connect, and learn at Lectures on Tap! 🙌
