Once rejected by retail executives, the shopping mall quickly became the prime destination for suburban Americans to shop and socialize. In this engaging talk, Dr. Alessandra Wood will take us on a visual journey through the early roots of the shopping mall, its heyday, and its eventual decline.
Dr. Wood is an author, educator, and design historian passionate about making art and design accessible. With experience as the VP of Style at Modsy and a recognized expert in design history, she has contributed critical insights to prestigious publications, including The Wall Street Journal and Architectural Digest. Her podcast, The Render, has gained significant acclaim within the design community.
