We’ll explore how this quest has grown into a truly multidisciplinary effort, from scanning the skies for alien signals to investigating the thousands of exoplanets we now know populate our galaxy. Dr. Marchis will share his work with the Unistellar Network, a global community of nearly 3,000 citizen astronomers using smart telescopes, and the Laser SETI program, designed to catch the briefest flashes of light that could be interstellar messages.

Along the way, you’ll hear how emerging tools like AI, global collaborations, and decentralized networks such as SkyMapper are giving us our best chance yet to answer one of humanity’s oldest questions: Are we alone—and what happens the day we find out?
