📚 Lecture: “When Ballet is Rebellious: Rule-breakers & Revolutions”
🎤 Speaker: Annelise Eastes, Director of Artease Dance Collective
While ballet is often associated with elegance and discipline, its history is rich with rebellion and scandal. In this illuminating lecture, Annelise Eastes will uncover the dancers who defied tradition, the fervent fan culture surrounding performances, and the artistic revolutions that transformed the ballet stage.
Join us as we explore how these rebels not only reshaped the ballet art form but also influenced broader cultural conversations and societal norms.
