🧠 Lecture: "New York Stories in Subway Art"

🎤 Speaker: Kristin McCollum

You walk past it every day and probably never look twice — but the New York City subway is secretly one of the greatest art museums on earth. In this engaging talk, museum educator and NYC super-nerd Kristin McCollum will uncover the hidden stories behind the system’s mosaics, murals, glasswork, and steel: the people, places, and events immortalized underground, and the artists who brought them to life.

Kristin leads and develops tours at the Morgan Library & Museum, the Museum of the City of New York, and her one true love, the New York Transit Museum. She’s also an actor and improviser who teaches and performs with Improvolution in the West Village, and she creates NYC history and art content as NerdingOutonNYC on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Come see the subway the way only a true insider can show it to you—and you’ll never wait on a platform the same way again.
