The subtle body is a primordial blueprint representing the non-physical, energetic aspect of a human being. It’s often described as beyond the physical body, encompassing elements like thoughts, emotions, and life force. It also appears across cultures as an interface between the Self and the unconscious with predictable anatomical markers. Jung was enthralled by this concept, as we see in the Kundalini Seminars, his interest in Taoism, and his study of the Tibetan Book of the Dead. In an East-meets-West approach, Kelly Brady will explore the subtle body through a Jungian lens, revealing it as an archetype found in a variety of medical traditions. As a long-time practitioner of Zen, she’ll incorporate buddhist concepts of consciousness as it relates to material reality. This talk will bridge medical anthropology with current applications for human healing and potential.Dr. Kelly Brady is an Acupuncture Physician, Jungian Psychotherapist, Couples Therapist, Lecturer, Mother, Wife, and Zen Practitioner. She has been in practice since 1993, and lives and works in Tampa, Florida.
