Nate is a biblical scholar and archaeologist who lives in the Boston, Massachusetts area. For many years he's been working as a freelance teacher in schools, churches, synagogues, universities, and other community groups in an attempt to spread this fascinating biblical studies knowledge to populations who might not have access to it. Frequent lecture topics include introduction to biblical archaeology, biblical composition history, ancient Near Eastern literature, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. He has also worked on seven archaeological excavations in Israel, the U.K., and the Russian Federation. He finished his M.A. in Near Eastern and Judaic Studies from Brandeis University in 2014, and his B.A. in Religious Studies in 2010 from the University of Minnesota, both with a focus on the Hebrew Bible in its greater ancient Near Eastern context. He has also completed additional coursework in Hebrew Bible at Boston University and Harvard University. Beyond Hebrew Bible, his research interests include study of the New Testament, Qur'ān, and various ancient Near Eastern cultures, such as the Hittites, Babylonians, and Egyptians.
