Join Philadelphia-based Walking Artist Ken Johnston for a walk and talk about the Underground Railroad borderlands from two vantage points reflecting per-sonal observations from the North & the South, during walks he participated in or led this year following the Southern Road to Freedom to Reynosa, Mexico and Owen Sound, Ontario – the Northern terminus of the Underground Railroad in Canada. In this talk Ken Johnston will address landscape changes he has observed from his experience tracing over 1,200 miles (about 1931.21 km) of the Underground Railroad during the past seven years. Since 2018, Johnston has been walking to explore the deep power of memory along Black Heritage Trails.
