Join student Sophia Sobrino '24 in conversation about the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art's year-long exhibition series of Latin American artwork. From the powerful portrayal of undocumented communities in the American South to the vibrant celebration of Chicano identity and heritage, Sobrino will provide an insightful exploration of her curatorial involvement in three distinct, remarkable exhibitions: Yehimi Cambrón: Documenting the Undocumented in the South, Estampas de la Raza, and Contrapunto. Discover more about the personalized process of curating each exhibition, the role of students at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, and the significance of underrepresented narratives of Latin American art.
